Web Engineering is more than just Web Design. Anyone with Front Page or Dream Weaver can make a web site, but only a Web Engineer can make it sing.

So what's the difference? A Web Designer is typically a graphic artist. A Web Designer has a strong background in graphic arts-usually, computer based. A Web Designer will create the overall look and feel of a site, supplying the necessary graphical templates for the Web Programmers or Web Engineers to build a site. A Web Designer may even be adept at using a program like Dream Weaver to create beautifully choreographed web sites, but not truly programmed to more than be a pretty face.

A Web Engineer is the elite level programmer and designer of a web site. A Web Engineer can, and will create a structured integration of the graphic to programming interface, which may or may not need to communicate with a database backend. Typically a Web Engineer works as a Systems Engineer and is required to create an ecommerce-designed site.

So when you work with Daggett Design & Web Engineering, you will have a access to the resources of a Web Engineer who will be able to understand the simple to complex needs of your web site.
